How much time?
We recommend 2 hours to half a day but you can cover a lot in just
over an hour.
Do we need
a guide to walk the trails ?
No. The trails are self-guided with hundred's of signs about rainforest
species along the way for you to stop & read. We also give groups our
special Rainforest Secrets Presentation to inform visitors.
How difficult
are the walks ?
Quite easy for the average person. The distances are 100's of metres not
kilometres. The 3 main rainforest trails are gravel but mostly gentle
slopes. The Regeneration trail has a few steps. Good walking shoes are
required.

Can we pick
& eat any of the fruit straight off the rainforest trees?
Not really. Rainforest Secrets is an 'enhanced' rainforest experience with
interesting flora highlighted in their natural state. Bush foods are not
really 'table fruits' (with the exception of Macadamia Nuts). Similar to
Ginger, Garlic or Olives the fruits have to be processed to fully utilise
their flavour. For example, Davidson's Plums are sour but make great jam.
Lemon Myrtle leaf is a great spice. Some bush food species are also toxic
when raw & were specially treated by aborigines to be eaten. If you don't
know what the wild fruit is don't eat it!
If it rains
won't we get wet ?
No. We can lend you a courtesy umbrella.
How big is
the whole property ?
80 hectare (200 acre).
Do you cater
for groups?
Yes. We have special packages for Schools, Social & Coach Groups.
Do you accept
credit cards?
Yes. We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard,
Bankcard, Amex, Diners Club, JCB) as well as EFTPOS & travellers
cheques.
